with social media becoming more and more fractured and “pay to play” exposure, i’m considering a “not even close to regular” newsletter… (or at the very least, piggybacking on the perhapanauts newsletter we send out…) to announce stuff like THE HERCULOIDS, more PERHAPANAUTS kickstarters, my patreon and more…

not sure anyone even sees these updates here (besides marc and his RSS reader.. hey!)

had a great time in boston with wicked comic con (and even got to go see jonathan coulton with todd, randy and the boy)…

next up, rose city comic con in portland, or. (and turns out MIKE MIGNOLA will be a guest, so yes, sure to bring your YOUNG HELLBOY books… or buy’m from me)

and after that? baltimore! (where i’ll be set up, as usual, with todd and all our PERHAPANAUTS stuff, along with all of our pals)

besides the CRYPIDS 2025 calendar project (if you missed the kickstarter, i’ll have a LIMITED number for sale at shows and online)..

i’m keeping mighty busy drawing two different projects with tom sniegoski (with a THIRD on the horizon) and doing weekly sketches for todd’s podcast.

… and on the “just for me” concert poster horizon? weezer, pj harvey, matthew sweet… phew.

with all the fractured and/or pay for visibility social media sites out there, it’s feeling tougher and tougher to connect with an audience and get tracti0n (with engagement on many posts barely out of single digits)… i’m finding myself looking for other outlets (like a newsletter) and spending more time on patreon… or simply not bothering.

right now i’m working a few things that i really can’t promote for a while, but i’ve got a bunch of variant/ retailer covers coming out, like the run of LILO & STITCH color bleed covers for dynamite (issue 3 is out soon.. and i’m already done with 6 and 7)… and a SPACE GHOST retailer cover for groundbreaking comics.

the perhapanauts TRIANGLE trade is on track to be here on schedule for kickstarter backers (and then everyone who missed out)… and we’re working the next story… (and plans for the NEXT remastered trade)

and that stuff i can’t promote yet? tom sniegoski and i are cooking up some new stuff…

and i figure after we can get those ‘haps kickstarter books out the door, i’ll be ready to launch JUST FOR ME CONCERT POSTERS VOL 2

home and back at the drawing board after another great time at granite state comic con… up next? ANOTHER trip up to NH, this time i’ll be at Jetpack Comics saturday 9/23 with tom, matt, jeannine and more…. (and after THAT? don’t be surprised if there’s a NotAtAnyCon during NYCC weekend, with sketching/commissions all weekend and a sale on practically everything in my webstore)
